I pulled out my grandma’s humongous pot (that takes up 4 burners) and lined it with short ribs! After they cooked on high heat for about 3 hours, they were folk tender. I used soy sauce, garlic, red pepper flakes, (minimal) salt and pepper in the pot.
I made another batch of Korean BBQ sauce with an extra kick of heat, by adding a habanero pepper.
And, something I’m trying to do is cut out or minimize my carbohydrate intake (as it is contraindicated on the anti inflammatory food recommendation list). So, I bought kohlrabi “fettuccine” and pea pods and quickly sautéed them with 3 tbsp of the bbq sauce.
I loved it!! Try this substitution for carbs. It’s delicious and filling, without the tummy ache 😖
