This has got to be my favorite...but, very time consuming! I love my Traeger Smoker & enjoy cooking a piece of meat until it's good and tender! The flavors are amazing! I dry rubbed this cut with a cup of "steak seasoning" on both sides & let it sit for 2 days in the refrigerator. It's been smoking for 5 hours and Sophia has said, every hour on the hour, "That smells so good. When is it going to be done?!?" My sentiments exactly! Because I used a steak seasoning instead of my usual bbq dry rub, I made a wet marinade to mop every hour. 1 cup apple cider vinegar 1 cup water 2 tbsp black pepper 1 tbsp sea salt 1/3 cup steak seasoning This helps keep the meat moist. Smoking meat enhances the flavor beautifully. It's a process but worth the end result...everytime!😋 Happy Smoking! Xo j 💚 Nahhhhh! 😂 I've been told that my recipes seem too complex. No, I promise, they aren't. Well, it may come from the complexities of my crazy brain. I have these ideas & it's hard to harness them to formulate recipes that the normal brain can follow...hehe. Stay with me: Today's inspiration came from a box of fish stock, Japanese udon noodles, vegetables and sesame seed oil....off we go. 2 boxes of fish stock 1 tsp shaved fresh ginger 1/3 cup chopped white onion 1.5 cups sliced fresh mushrooms 1 cup of fresh bean sprouts 2/3 cup water chestnuts 1/2 cup chopped scallions 2 tbls sesame seed oil 1 tbsp garlic paste 1 tbsp lemon grass paste 1 tbsp chili paste 1 tsp red pepper flakes 1 tsp soy sauce 1 tsp black pepper Bring veggies to a boil after simmering for an hour and add the udon noodles. Cook on high for 8 minutes. Place desired amount of noodles and veggies in your bowl, sprinkle with red pepper flakes, ladle a cup of broth & finish with a tbsp of chopped scallions! It's not hard...but, taste & season as you go. Happy Friday! Xo j 💚 Every birthday, they choose what's for dinner...and Chinese food was requested! Make it at home....tastes great & there's more bang for your buck! Xo j 💚 At least this chocolate & vanilla cream cheese cake smells and tastes great...ha! Bake it (325/25-30 min) Drizzle it. Dust it. Eat it! The End! Xo j 💚 2 graham cracker crusts 2 shortbread crust 1 stick of butter (Melt butter & pour over crusts in a separate bowl) Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and form the crust...compact it well. Pour 1/2 cup white chocolate chips over top. Mix 1 32 oz tub of ricotta & 3 peel & bake white chocolate & macadamia nut cookies Juice 1 large lemon & mix with cheese & dough. Pour over chips & crust and spread evenly with a wet spatula. Bake 325F/25-30 min Chop 1/2 cup macadamia nuts and pour over hot cooki/tart Zest & juice 2 lemons, 1/2 tsp vanilla extract & whisk w/ 3/4 cup of confectioner sugar. Drizzle over top. Let cool & dusk with more confectioner sugar. Cut & serve. Approximately 65-75 pieces Kitchen Inspiration! Xo j 💚 20 minute prep 30 min bake time Total time 50 min |
