Not even this girl is too old to come home and let her mama take care of her...plus, she's a great cook & we have fun in the kitchen. I love you mom! Xo j Dining out should be an experience for your taste buds... So, why do we settle for mediocrity? I would rather save up to savor than run the risk of food poisoning or, worse, disappointment. Don't settle...use your calories wisely. They just end up being empty ones, you've wasted and, now, regret. Xo j Roasted jalapeños, bacon & cheddar rangoons with a cool peach purée! Chop 5 roasted & seeded jalapeños (400f/2min)& 6 strips of thick cut baked bacon. Add 1/3 brick softened cream cheese & 1/2 cup shredded cheddar/jack to the peppers/bacon bowl. Mix well. Take a wonton wrapper and a tsp of mix to the middle. Dip your finger in a bowl of water & "paint" the edges of the wrapper. Bring the edges to the center & place on a greased/sprayed baking sheet. Bake 400/20 min or until edges are golden and cheese is bubbling. To contrast the heat, I made a simple peach purée...easy peasy...food process 2 whole canned peaches with 3 tbsp of the liquid. Enjoy the crispy outer shell with an ooey gooey molten center. Xo j With warmed cinnamon butter bananas! On a side note, it's March 25th & it's snowing! I think, no matter how hot our summer gets, there won't be any complaining... Happy Cooking! Xo j Brie, mint & raspberry pie?!? Inspired after seeing a blueberry, basil & goat cheese pie featured on Triple D...will experiment & see how it turns out :) Inspire to create... Xo j If you're in & around the DC area, you've got two locations to choose from for a fabulous cupcake ....Occasionally Cake! Take a five minute, well-deserved, break from reality with there decadent treats. Xo j |
