So, I watched an episode of the Food Network's The Best Pizza Ever....
This one sounded divine....
Marc Murphy's choice: pizza rolls with a pistachio pesto.
So, I lifted my drooling chin & made a mental note.
My play on those supreme pizza rolls goes like this:
Roll your dough out...
Spoon on ricotta cheese about 2 tbsp per section.
A few thick cut slices of fresh mozzarella in the center.
Dust with dry oregano, garlic powder, sea salt & black pepper.
Roll and cut...~2.5 inch sections...
Place on an olive oil greased baking sheet and into a preheated 400F. Bake for 15-20 min or until desired golden color.
Pesto...not really... just chop ~1/2 cup pistachios with a few tbsp of olive oil. Set aside and top your rolls right out of the oven!
