So, I'm usually all or nothing...and, when it comes to eating decadent treats, you've gotta go all the way.
But, last week, I picked up baking tins for donuts at Michaels.
Tonight, C and I made baked donuts and donut bites.
It's simple and took us 30 minutes.
1 thawed ball of dough (make your own if you have time)
Grease the tin(s)
Preheat your oven to 425F and bake the cut outs for 10-12 minutes or until golden
As soon as you take them out, glaze them.
Glaze:
1 zested lime
1 zested lemon
1 cup confectioner sugar
1/3 cup lemon and lime juice
For the one-bite donuts:
Bake exactly the same as above
Before baking pour a tsp of cinnamon and brown sugar mix over each one
When golden, glaze with a mix of 1/2 cup maple syrup and 1/3 cup brown sugar & 1 tsp cinnamon
Enjoy!
