With our recent meal at a Cuban restaurant, I soaked in the flavors and thought: “When I get home, I’m going to make a Cuban inspired seasoning salt.” (I’ll get to that after the holidays)....
My favorite flavors are Mediterranean inspired. That includes Italian, Greek, Lebanese, Afghan, etc.... I also lean towards smokey & spicy flavors. When I think Greek, I say oregano. Italian? Basil & garlic. Smoked? Cumin. Spicy? Well, there’re dozens of ways to spice things up.
Often enough, my lil people will ask to buy lunch at school and they are always disappointed. Why? Because they are used to bold seasoning flavors at home. Schools & (for me) hospitals use minimal seasoning (if any). I don’t them go buy anymore because they are always disappointed (and it saves money).
I’ll let you know when that next flavor rolls out.
