Simple simple simple....
1 pre-made croissant dough sheet spread out on a flat surface.
Preheat a shallow pan of vegetable oil to 350F (1 inch deep).
With a silver cylinder hole punch, cut out cronut holes.
Place in oil. Flip when cronuts turn golden (~15 seconds).
Place on a rack over a baking sheet to drain excess oil.
Icing:
1 cup confectioner sugar
1 tbsp orange (tangerine) zest
4 tbsp juiced orange
1 tsp vanilla extract
Whisk & drizzle over cronuts. Best eaten hot, right out of the fry pan!😋
