The secret to a great sandwich is to dig out the excess bread in the center/middle of the roll. Choose a dense roll like Portuguese rolls. They can hold up well with your filling. Finish it with a rich flavorful aioli to slather on each side. I’ll include this verrrrry simple but a must-have dressing. It’s like the jelly to the PB&J 😜
in a food processor: pulse & purée
1 cup of mayo
1 tbsp garlic paste
1 tsp chili paste
1 tbsp cilantro paste
1 large bunch of flat leaf parsley
I didn’t add a single thing...and it was perfect. I would normally add a pinch of salt & pepper and maybe a splash of lemon or lime juice but it really didn’t need anything.
