Today, being Mother’s Day, I’d like to wish all of the hard working moms a very special day.
I said I wasn’t cooking but it’s where I find my peace.
Yesterday, I made fajitas. The best way to make them is simply to season your steak of choice well with a dry rub of salt, pepper, garlic, taco seasoning, and something spicy 🌶....grill on medium heat 4 minutes, half turn and another 4 minutes...then flip just one time and continue grilling for 5 minutes. Take off and put in a covered bowl. Let them rest 15 minutes.
Then slice on the bias. Take those tender, juicy flavorful pieces and fill a scorched tortilla with sautéed onions & peppers, cheese, etc & crisp red pepper chips....
Now, try something different:
1 tbsp cilantro paste
1 tbsp garlic paste
2 tbsp water
1 tsp taco seasoning
4 drops of Savage Jerky Reaper hot sauce
whisk and drizzle over the top of each taco for that extra kick of flavor.....
And that’s how you add a signature touch to an old favorite!
